My keychain broke, but it was the silver portion. Just snapped because it was kinda hollow inside.

I have this. Poor quality and thin leather. After 6 months it looks like a cheap kids' key holder. I took it off and trashed it.

I've been using these Belkin plastic keychain holders for AirTags on both vehicle keychains, inside two suitcases and in a backpack all for about 2.5 years now with zero issues of anything falling off. The AirTag goes in between the two plastic halves that rotate and lock together, with the metal key ring then through the loops to double lock it shut. I've bought these in 4x packs on eBay for about $20 and my local Walmart had the singles on clearance for $1.99 each this summer, so I grabbed a bunch then as well (though oddly my store has them in stock again now at full price lol, so YMMV). Highly recommend them though, as those vehicle keychains expose them to much abuse and they are still solid. You can find them cheaper if you look around!
