True statement but where are you going to buy a sports coat that isn't made for the retailer? A small tailor shop maybe. Kohls, Men's Wearhouse, Dillard's, etc. all adjust the quality and buy in bulk from these designer manufacturers.

It's a good deal if you know how Ralph Lauren sports coats or suit coats fit you and you know your size. You can get a coat that does not need much tailoring to fit you. IMO, it's worth the $60 (perhaps even up to $80 or $100). But then I live in a rural area and don't need high end clothing.

Yes, this is polyester and RLs lowest-end line, but it's also $60. For a lot of casual situations, it'll do.
