You can if you ask nicely. No one should care.

I was a waiter there long ago and I used to place multiple "refills" before the check would come and pack them up to go depending on the customer. Particularly college kids - I knew money was tight, being one myself at the time, and a bunch of leftovers would change my week quite a bit. That and they paid me like $3.50/hr. Darden restaurant bottom line was the least of my concerns.

No worries if you don't like this restaurant (I'm personally not the biggest fan) but please don't bash it too much as it's my 9 year old son's favorite place, so I'm sure there are many other OG lovers out there too... both kids and adults alike

Happy eating!

Thanks OP. A family friend and neighbor lost their family member to COVID and I wanted to take them out for dinner. When I asked them what they liked to eat, they said they liked the shrimp scampi at Olive Garden. So your post was a good reminder to treat them well plus I'll save a little by ordering this slick deal. TY.

I asked myself and yes, yes I do. Going to use this for the winter bulk to get another plate on the squat.

not a good deal, my local all you can eat Chinese and Mongolian is only a few bucks more and you can have all you eat proteins instead of just the super filling pasta and soup that cost a lot less than proteins.
True SDer want to fill up on the protein, not the cheap carbs.

soup plantation is much better, I really miss soup plantation. their soup were so good, salad is fresh and amazing, and you get to customize whatever you want. Plus you could pick up the food yourself, without the annoying OG waitress and highly encouraged tips.

In the current inflated market $14 is not bad and worth if one can eat at least two servings of pasta.
As per me, after the first course of soup and bread sticks, I never was able to finish one serving of pasta and forget about the Never-ending servings Smilie

If you get the toppings do the refills come with toppings? Meal is 18.99 here in Hawaii and 6.99 for toppings

Anyone have issues recently with servers never coming back for refills? I love their soup and I'll do the unlimited soup and salad and I'm lucky to get 1 refill of soup and bread sticks while being there for an hour. It didn't used to be like that but recently every time I go it's like that with different servers.

Actually it's good to tip even when doing a pickup. The tip gets shared by entire staff including the folks in the kitchen.
I never tipped for pickup before the COVID pandemic, but started during the pandemic just to help keep my favorite restaurants going when dine-in wasn't allowed. In my opinion it's the restaurant's job to pay the cooks in the kitchen, not mine, and I'm already paying for that in the price of the meal, so I shouldn't need to tip for take-out. Tips are for the wait staff's service, and since most restaurants in this country count tips as part of the wait staff's pay, I'm willing to tip when I dine-in.
