You can if you ask nicely. No one should care.

I was a waiter there long ago and I used to place multiple "refills" before the check would come and pack them up to go depending on the customer. Particularly college kids - I knew money was tight, being one myself at the time, and a bunch of leftovers would change my week quite a bit. That and they paid me like $3.50/hr. Darden restaurant bottom line was the least of my concerns.

No worries if you don't like this restaurant (I'm personally not the biggest fan) but please don't bash it too much as it's my 9 year old son's favorite place, so I'm sure there are many other OG lovers out there too... both kids and adults alike

Happy eating!

Remember when this used to be $9.99.
That's inflation for you. Up by 50%.

I'd say this is probably one of the best deals, assuming you actually like some of those meals. You don't see many sales on the pricier meals. The extra $5 for toppings (meatballs, Italian sausage, shrimp, grilled or crispy chicken) actually makes it pretty good. And you can usually get refills of just the toppings as well.

Also, keep in mind that Olive Garden cards should be able to be used at some other restaurants as well. According to Amazon' Olive Garden GC listing …

Darden Restaurants gift cards can be redeemed at any Olive Garden, LongHorn Steakhouse, Bahama Breeze, Seasons 52, or Yard House in the U.S. I think they're all interchangeable, regardless of which restaurant is on the front of the card.

So then where is the deal on the plane fare to get to said Chinese/Mongolian?

What's with all these bonehead anecdotal comments? Not everyone lives in a place that has YOUR options.
agreed... my local chinese/mongolian buffet is like $25,

How the hell do you eat more than 1 plate of alfredo? Thinking about digesting 3k calories of alfredo is giving me heartburn and mud butt

It is the the best kind of mud butt though. Smells like parmesan cheese. Just say when to stop, ok?

I made the mistake of eating at Olive Garden at Times Square - massively overpriced and it wasn't good at all. Anyone else visiting NYC, do yourself a favor and stay away! There are plenty of other much better places to eat

Something of better quality for just a few dollars more now, may be the difference in 20 years of you having to have your gall bladder removed or not due to your quality of intake, personal health and ultimately gall stones. Stick to local establishments and avoid over processed chain food with many preservatives designed to attract a budget diner.

Why would you eat at an Olive Garden when you eat at a million different places specifically in a culinary diverse city like NYC? Do you go to McDonald's at Time Square for the next meal?
