Note that Demeo can be played without VR. It's best in VR, of course. If you have Demeo already and want your non VR friends to play with you, you can give them the key for this game.

Sorry you didn't understand the relevance of my comment. yes I know who you were responding to. As you probably know resolution has very little to do with compressed h264 or 264 video bandwidth as they are adaptive and perceptually encoded (you will get compression blocks regardless of the resolution as bandwidth decreases). You can stream any resolution and any bandwidth (within reason) obviously at some high bandwidth you approach recovering a lot of the perceptual imagry near perceptual full resolution. For gaming, latency, and consistency are most important of course and the resolution isn't as perceptible with a lot of motion which is why Netflix can claim 4k resolution while sending you blocky garbage.

Also since my older quest has less horsepower for video decode it is very relevant as a low bar for quest 1 2 or 3 performance.

I just wanted to indicate that the mediocre network (by today's standard) will likely perform well. along with the critical elements of streaming software quality. (virtual desktop)

also note that NickPDX clearly indicated he was new to this so I provided a frame of reference while your response was vague (you need a good router and good network). is that a $500 router or a $50 one?

anywho not here to argue with ya take my info for what it's worth or ignore it. I know Nick found it very helpful.

Everyones quality requirements are different. I first used my Quest 2 on a system that seemed to work but I was getting headaches and eye strain if I played for more than a few minutes. Turns out frame skipps and lower framerates were the cause and these issues went away when I upgraded my system. This is a common known issue when using VR with reduced frame rates, you may just not be as sensitive to it as others are. The above links show bandwith requirements for video streaming and you need to double those for 2 screens ( one screen per eye for VR).

So I'm new to the oculus. My son received one of the oculus 2 headsets last Christmas and I just set it up last weekend. Will these games play through the oculus store or require a pc to run? Are they accessible without needing a pc at all is what I mean. Are the games added to oculus library?
