Quest 2 was sold at a loss and subsidized by Facebook (the company). Quest 3 is not.

As a VR studio owner and developer, it is worth it. Completely different machine and capabilities. As long as you don't need face/eye tracking which is highly use case dependent, then this is the way to go. It will be the market leader for at least a year or more and they won't refresh for at least 18 months or two years plus. Also, it has the biggest free roam library with their storefront which also still able to play all PCVR games wirelessly.
It really will be the best all around headset on the market and that doesn't even cover the boom of MR games that are going to come with this. All of us are rushing to make games for this emerging market. $499 ain't a bad price.

I know this is a big jump in price. The Quest 2 was released at $299 and then had it's price increased to $399 (which was ridiculous imo). I don't know if the Quest 3 is worth another $100 raise to $500 but hoping some here can find the $50 discount helpful.

Have you used this code yet? I know there was an Apple Watch 9(?) deal earlier this month that also used it. There are a lot of exclusions though on this code and previous times the code has been active through the year, it only works for a couple hours after the item was announced and then BB adds the item to the exclusion list. It might just be dead.

I have not. Only got a BB card a few months ago for a refrigerator and I don't believe I had any codes applied.

True, that said most people buying a PSVR2 already own a PS5. So yes, technically it's a $1000 setup, but if I buy a PSVR2 or a meta quest 3, I'm still only having to spend $500. I'd assume the percentage of people buying a ps5 just for the PSVR2 is incredibly low to almost non existent.

I know it's an all in one, so people that want to dip into VR that aren't "gamers" are going to be the majority of adopters here. Also, the meta quest has the advantage of no cables, which is nice. Not knocking it, it's a fun device, but for me, for $500 I'll likely be going with the PSVR2.

It's still working for me. Make sure the BB credit card is the payment method and that you're entering it for the "Discount Code".

Is this worth the upgrade if I dont play games but only watch vr videos from YouTube? I have samsung odyssey now. I also have a gopro extreme sports library on my pc, do I need to store them locally on the headset or there is stream option without cable, thanks
