They have their own launcher. Most of the games will be redeemed to your Amazon account and be available to download through their launcher, but you will receive occasional codes for redemption through GOG, Epic Games, EA, and Legacy Games.

Ghostwire: Tokyo was surprisingly good. Many reviews talked junk about it, I think expecting it to be more of a traditional FPS (which is also what I was looking for). As long as you accept it isn't trying to be Doom 2016 or COD MW, nor should it, you'll have a great time. Great original story and amazing production value for the amount of content.
You are wayyyyy too fast posting these each month. I wonder if they'll have any more surprise games for october's prime day event?

More info:

October 5 GRUNND — Step into a nightmarish Halloween-themed realm, where players must navigate ominous environments, unravel eerie puzzles and confront terrifying creatures.
October 5 Ghostwire: Tokyo — After deadly supernatural forces vanish the population of Tokyo in an instant, face the unknown and use an arsenal of elemental abilities against the spirits prowling the streets to unravel the dark truth behind the disappearance of Tokyo's population.
October 12 The Coma 2: Vicious Sisters — Deluxe Edition — Navigate an abandoned school teeming with vengeful spirits and grotesque creatures as players must confront these harrowing horrors and unearth the school's dark secrets.

October 19 The Textorcist — Step into a Halloween-inspired world as players take on the role of a professional exorcist utilizing a blend of typing skills and supernatural horror, confront demonic forces and unravel an eerie narrative in this gripping and unique top-down gaming experience.
October 19 Golden Light — This indie game offers a captivating and chilling experience where players are transported to a spooky, surreal world where they embark on a journey filled with unnerving mysteries and bizarre encounters.
October 26 Super Adventure Hand — Be drawn into a whimsically unsettling world and armed with a magical hand, players embark on a captivating journey through spellbinding puzzles and enchanting landscapes.

Hey I'm sorry if this is a basic question but for games from Amazon prime do they have their own launcher that you have to run these from? Or will it work on Steam or some other platform?

Mostly they activate on another platform (Epic, GOG, Steam).

Rumour a sequel is being worked on as well from some leak recently. The evil within 2 was an improvement from 1 for a lot of people so hopefully this will be the same in terms of reception, lots of potential with the universe it set up

Be aware that any sequel is likely to be exclusive to Xbox on console and on PC, it would be Windows Store and Steam.

I played Ghostwire Tokyo with PC Game Pass.
Its a very GPU demanding game making loud fan noise on my RTX 2060. Otherwise its a good but not exceptional game. Or some call it Tokyo walk simulator.

For October Amazon will also offer Devil May Cry 5 on Luna Prime Channel. Might as well try it out if you dont own it already.

How does Prime Gaming freebies work now? Are the games only available for 1 week or does it just add more each week and you can collect all the games on the last day?

Thinking about free or $1.99 paid trial to get Ghostwire Tokyo and as much else as possible.

Do the games overlap into the next month? So if I get a 1 week trial on last day (say November 4th or whatever) I could get all the October games plus the games from November 5th?

Ghostwire may end up being a freebie on Epic Vault this Christmas though...

I'm most excited for ghostwire, but sadly it's still not on there.

On previous 'amazon prime gaming' freebies they give you a code. Those redemption codes would only be usable for a few weeks, and the codes would flood the third party game key reselling market with so much inventory that the prices would go to like 20 cents on eneba. Seems they're doing away with that though- the faq makes this sound like there is no code (at least for ghostwire tokyo) and instead you do account linking :.(
