Meh, the 8 GB scandal has been overblown for midrange cards, agreed it would be too little for the 4070 but games that the 3070 could play well have had issues at launch with 8 GB of VRAM but with patches has worked themselves out. As a patient gamer, that doesn't affect me.

And only 8GB DDR6, right? Should have at least 16GB just to match the PS5/XSX as well.
You should know that is total RAM, not just video memory. The entire system utilizes 16 GB of GDDR6 RAM. People keep using that as a reason every card that is faster than a PS5 needs 16 GB and they over look that itty bitty tiny little fact.
How does it kill it though? Every business is required to charge you sales tax if you have sales tax in your state. It has been many years since there were some that did not collect and left it up to you to pay it (and who would do that? Not many...).
I just ordered one of those goofy GPU support stands from amazon for $7. If the PCB cracks with that PLUS this being a relatively light and short card I would almost be too awestruck by the incompetence to be mad.
For me, the bigger concern is that Gigabyte simply refuses to stand by their products and denies all RMA leaving their customers with no recourse, even though any cracking is most likely due to a design defect that Gigabyte is very much aware of. A 4070 might not get cracked PCB, but if anything does go wrong with it, it just seems quite apparent that Gigabyte will refuse any warranty requests. That's a company worth avoiding.

I think it has built in anti-sag. No stand needed.
The shame here is that a specific card was being promoted by the post, instead of the code.
Someone else made a new post for just the zotac for $20 more with a different code, taking traffic from this one. But this promo code works for a whole lot more than just the 4070.
You can get a 7800xt for just $449. Not sure what all it might work on besides gpu.

Enough for what though? Like should a 3050 have more than 8 GB of VRAM?
You can find tools to display how much VRAM a game uses and for what the 3070 is capable of performing there aren't many games that exceed that 8 GB and would only exceed if if you have like 4k textures or some other setting the card can't use. I'm absolutely on board with the 4070 having 12 GB because it's a fairly large bump up, but again, I haven't seen anyone reach 12 GB of VRAM without maxing unneeded settings.
