16GB be ok for most people. Sucks there are no slots for upgradability.
Side note there are lots of Lenovo stuff made for China that is making its way across the border these days.

You'll want a discrete Nvidia (or AMD) graphics card. Those typically start around $500. You can get solid, console-quality gaming at that price though. You can't get that quality with integrated graphics on the CPU though.
