It's for when bike thieves has to ditch the bolt cutters so they don't get caught with burglary tools on them. Another possibility might be because the hardened shanks on bike locks and chains cause the bolt cutters to take damage when they are used on them. But who knows, I haven't stolen a bike in like forever..... (like never). So take my sarcastic speculations as pure entertainment and nothing else.

You definitely get what you pay for here. If you are using this to cut some cheap locks, you should be good. If you are using this for "professional" uses, you will need the 3 pack.
