How efficient is the heater? How expensive to run daily to take the chill out of the air?
Yes, vague broad question. I get that. I'm just looking for a basic sense.
All electric resistance heaters are somewhere between 95% and 100% efficient.
The ones with fans like this one are slightly less efficient because you're using some of the power to move the air instead of just to heat the air.
This can be better because you aren't "wasting" power heating portions of your room that are unused while waiting for convection to move the warm air to where you want it.
For maximum efficiency you want a heat pump. Instead of generating heat they take existing heat from one place and move it to another and can reach efficiencies of several hundred percent. It takes less electricity to move a thousand BTU than to create a thousand BTU.
They also cost a lot more than $50, require a window or other opening to the place you're taking heat from, and are usually much larger.
Vornados cost more than other brands because they are well made and have a solid warranty. They also are arguably more attractive
I have a basic milk crate heater that is just as effective but is louder and ugly.

I have one of these to warm up my home theater in the basement while I watch a movie with a friend. Very limited use but, it does the job. I've only had it for a year, no issues.

I have one and it's worked problem free for almost 2 years now. Solid purchase.
