I took pics and sent them to corporate. A few days later I was cc'd on an email to what must have been the franchisee, but it was just my complaint. No apology, no nothing. A couple of days later, I get an automated coupon email with "Sorry!" added to the front of the subject line of the coupon's title. I've never been back to that store, due to no effort put into an apology. How hard would have been to be blunt and honest? "We're so sorry. We fired Joe for that crap salad he made you. It will never happen again".
We tried another location on the other side of town I got to stare at a dirty mop bucket of water (guess they were trying to shut down early) while they tried to make my pizza. They already put away all the cups, scales and such (still 30 mins before closing) and just winging it on toppings. They were so few toppings that I called them out on it. They immediately loaded both pizzas with toppings, which I was glad for, but I shouldn't have to say something to get what I paid for.
I might try PM every 4 months, but these two experiences has lost me as a twice monthly customer.
What was unsettling is that the price jumped a bit at checkout. Closer investigation shows it 'defaulted' to a $4.80 tip. That's a bit sneaky.
