Eligible Vehicles:
- Only CAVs with green, yellow, blue or orange decals are eligible for discounted and toll-free travel.
- You must obtain your CAV decal from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV). To learn how to apply for a CAV decal, click here

- Carpools, vanpools and motorcycles need a FasTrak Flex toll tag to receive discounted tolls in all Bay Area Express Lanes
- If you do not use express lanes as a carpool, vanpool, motorcyle or eligble CAV, a standard FasTrak toll tag will serve all your needs.
Express Lanes:
- Express lanes are usually identified with white pavement markings as well as signage above and next to the lanes.
- Express lanes are available on 101 San Mateo, 101/SR-85 Santa Clara, I-580, I-680 Contra Costa, I-680 Sunol, I-880 and SR-237.
Bridge Tolls:
- All seven state-owned bridges have at least one FasTrak-only lane in operation.
- State-owned bridges include Antioch, Benicia-Martinez, Carquinez, Dumbarton, Richmond-San Rafael, San Francisco-Oakland Bay and San Mateo-Hayward.
- For CAVs to be eligible to receive the discounted carpool toll rate at the state-owned toll bridges, you must:
- Display valid clean air decals
- Have a FasTrak account in good standing
- Travel through a designated carpool lane

And I really hated fasttack. 680 always has issue with scanning my toll tag and will charge me. 880 has no issue. If you have fast track, I recommend check the balance regularly. If the charges are based on license plate number, that means you could be charged even though if you multiple occupants.

They will even mess something up on their end, make you pay a DMV registration hold, then make you call 5-6 times over the next 6 months to resolve it.
Many tricks including get you off the phone saying it has been fixed but now that there are like 7 agencies they just send you back and forth between the agencies too!
