There are three kinds of Close Encounters, which can be distinguished by runtime: Special Edition [moviesanywhere.com] (2:12), Theatrical [moviesanywhere.com] (2:14), and Director's Cut [moviesanywhere.com] (2:17).
Really like the format of this post. Picked up Drive Strangelove. Prices same on iTunes.
Upd ate – looks the editors removed the movies anywhere column and the rotten tomatoes score.

Is 2001 different than what streams with Prime?

I started watching it a few weeks back to compare to my Blu-ray but turned it off within a few minutes as the micro blocking and pixelation was intolerable (and playback was on a 4k compatible streaming device and 65inch OLED)

They keep putting the same titles on sale. This is like the third or fourth time I've seen this exact list show up for $5.

Some great titles here, I just wish there would be some more variety and opportunities.

I have the 4k disc but Warner Bros suck and discontinue the digital codes after a short while, so my disc didn't contain the digital copy… I bought the digital when it was on sale for $5 before just so I had it in my digital library. I've streamed it via Vudu to my Sony A80J OLED and didn't notice any issues with blocking and pixelation but I also wasn't overly bothered by that Terminator 2 remaster that everyone loathes so take my opinion for what it's worth lol.

Dang. Nearly pulled the trigger on T2, then saw it's not the Director's Cut. I just can't watch that movie anymore without seeing Arnie learning how to smile.

I'll never understand why they cut the "read-only chip" scene. It was incredibly well done and explains so much about how the Terminators can have intelligence, yet still act like mindless killing machines, murdering as they're instructed without ever questioning Skynet's orders.

Of the 3 kinds of Close Encounters, is the Third Kind the way to go?

Total Recall was only $1.99 for me. And returnable if I don't watch it.

2001 is so great ! There will come a time when AI and Humans conflict, and only one transcends. Clark and Kubrik pick Humans, I hope he is right.
