Please note that bicycles discounted over 40% are considered final sale, and are only eligable for returns or refunds if it's determined they arrived damaged.
That's not quite it, since 700c is a standard road bike tire, while mountain bikes have a range of tire sizes (w/29" being slightly larger than this in diameter).

It's more that hybrids are between road and mountain bikes in geometry and use case. Mountain bikes are bad on roads and road bikes can't really do trails, these can kinda do both… just slower on roads and only safe on basic trails.

Nothing to do with motors. Just a cross over bike. Combination of Mountain / road / gravel bike. Has a bigger tire and it generally weighs more. With all the distracted driving, a lot of people have gone off main roads to trails / bike paths and needed a more durable / versatile bike Wink I got the Giordano Brava on sale for $175 shipped a few weeks ago from a deal on here. 33lbs but is much more agile than my fat tire Ebike. I am happy at that price and can upgrade with better parts if needed.

3x7 drivetrain - 99% chance that it is freewheel. You don't want a freewheel bike for $230.
7 SPEED MICROSHIFT M26 - while they say it matches Shimano Acera I don't think it does.

I'm not a bike mechanic but wouldn't a freewheel have no gears?

Why would you not want to be able to coast?

It was a labor day special. I think it was this thread. All bikes were like 65% off or so. could have gotten a road bike for $154. They didn't charge me tax either. They have since put a couple H1 / H2 hybrids on sale for around $230ish. The msrp was around $650, but the bike isn't anywhere worth that. It is a good bike, but might need upgrades down the road.

A freewheel typically will go no higher than up to 7 speeds, or gears. Freehubs, (the alternative to freewheels) can go up to 12 speeds, or gears. Freehubs are almost always considered more high end, whereas freewheels are almost always found on lower end bikes. IRL I personally don't notice a difference between them when riding, but I'm sure some people can tell.

How hefty is the assembly, out of the box?

I wish it had the bike specifics. Being 5'10" which one to purchase. I would love to know the step over height of the top bar for example. My legs are 31".... at least the shorter of my two legs. Anybody know the specifics of this bike or where to find them? Would this be a recommended bike or wait? Casual rider, not looking for a road bike.

The problem with freewheels is not about a difference in riding. In freewheels there is a significant distance between where the cone nut sits on the axle and where the the axle attaches to the frame. This entire segment of the axle is unsupported. Under a moderate load this results in axle breaking.
