Actually was looking for a single 2032 battery today (I only needed one). Was at Walmart and couldn't find a single Duracell or Energizer, which both were over $3 for 1.
Got this 4 pack for less money. Thanks OP!

Op these will not work with air tags because they have a bitter coating and that coating is incompatible with air tags. So look for batteries that don't have a coating like energizer batteries.

You're right just looked it up on youtube about it though people are recommending using q tib and rubbing alcohol to wipe off the coating and it should solve the problem. It's weird how they are still advertising it as "Apple recommended for airtags" lol.

Dollar Tree sells lithium 2032 batteries. The last I checked it was a 2 pack for $1.25. I can't imagine at the same chemistry and form factor, the longevity is much different.

Tests of Dollar Tree Alkaline AAs found them to be around 85-90% as good as the premium brands at around 30% of the cost.

Exactly. I use the dollar tree ones in my air tag, and it worked just fine.

Never hurts to stock up on 2032 batteries, most car keyless entries use these, too. People usually don't think about them until it's too late and a lot of stores don't carry them.

Thanks for the Dollar Tree tips, though! Much better than going to Batteries+ and paying $5 or more for a single one!

Apples vs oranges. Lithium 3v and alkaline AAs have nearly nothing in common.

Great deal! Bought 4 packs for my AirTags. I use a Clorox wipe to wipe the bitter coating off.

Not criticizing the comment but how did you know it's bitter? Did you lick it? Honestly didn't know there was a coating that affected the effectiveness of the battery.

Haha no, they usually say bitterant have have a symbol of a baby to indicate it. These batteries can kill a child easily if they swallow it so they make it taste bad so they spit it out. I found out when the pack I bought wouldn't work in AirTags and I read it trying to figure out.

We need a charger for these, right? Most chargers for other rechargeable batteries cannot charge button batteries.
These are not rechargeable.

"CR2032 batteries with bitterant coatings might not work with AirTag or other battery-powered products, depending on the alignment of the coating in relation to the battery contacts."

This is a decent deal for the batteries, but they are a pain to remove the bitterant for AirTag use. You'd do better to order Panasonic brand without the bitterant if you plan to use them for AirTags. I bought a pack for AirTags, without knowing about the coating issue, and it takes quite a lot of effort to remove the coating for them to work well. It's simply not worth the effort IMO

Or just pop them into your mouth and wait until they don't taste bitter anymore.
