Deal History
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
Struggling to see the point of these. I have the OG Gearwrench pass through set and I bought it for that reason. Seems like these wouldn't have any advantage over a standard drive set of bits. Sale price is ok though.
Yes, they certainly can be used with 1/4" or 3/8" square drive ratchets, but you loose the low-profile clearance advantage of using them with the GW "Vortex" or Craftsman "Max Axess" ratchet handles
Still, more options are obviously better, so this is a very versatile set.
Look at this pic if you don't see how these sockets can be used with any of those ratchets:

They are bit sockets exclusively for use with their pass thru ratchets. If you have regular bit sockets and regular ratchet wrenches (or the square adapters for the pass thru ratchets), you probably don't need these.

These should not be confused with pass thru sockets as these central mass is filled with the socket tips. These are supposed to be used with pass thru sockets.
Only place I needed a pass thru socket set was bleeding the brakes when I was using a vacuum kit.

These can also be used with regular ratchets.
The pass through ratchets are physically smaller than regular ratchets. These will fit into smaller spaces than the regular ratchet and a conventional socket. Get a flex head pass through ratchet and these could be fairly useful.

What?!! No, these cannot be used with a regular (square drive) ratchet.
The benefit of using these with a passthrough ratchet is the lower stack height, compared to the height of a regular ratchet combined with the height of a comparable socket bit.

I stand corrected - thanks for the picture. That makes these more versatile than I though.
How is a $6.60/15% savings a Slickdeal. I would even call this much of a "deal" at all.
No disrespect to the people that make the site run, but it's been quite a few years now (around the time they started partnering with brands or sites for "special deals for SD, iirc) since I've understood why most of the deals that show up here show up at all.
It's just not the same as it used to be, which is a choice, I just wish it was kind of split into "sales" (which this is) and SLICK MF'ing DEALS DOT COM like it once was

I need to pull up the manual but iirc most motorcycle non-6 point fasteners use Torq bits or occasionally inverted Torq or whatever that's called…unfortunately that seems to be the smallest part of this set. I suppose I should just go to HF at this point

Only a dozen of these bits are Torx in this set.
The real **value** of this set is that it fits the Vortex and Max Axess ratchets, so it saves you about a 1/2" of clearance in tight spots.
If you want an all Torx set, then GW makes this for you, but it only fits conventional ratchets:

I use pass-thru sockets when the bolt is longer than a regular socket is deep. A long piece of all-thread is another example.
