My daughter has these and they're a step above generic Bluetooth earbuds but not nearly as nice as airpods. The case is the noticeable difference. But she's happy with them and I don't have concern over her losing $100+ earbuds.

These are pretty good, especially for the price. If you're an Android user looking for good build quality earbuds and with long battery life, I would pull the trigger

Anyone know if there's any option for buying just one bud for cheaper? We had a set and one bud got lost and for the life of me couldn't find any option for just buying that one bud.
Do you think shoe manufacturers sell just one shoe and not a pair? Jokes apart, I don't think that's an option.

Wouldn't be surprised if they figured out how to inject ads during your use.
Amazon consistently pushing ads through their products like Fire TV and Echo displays with no way to disable them is quite annoying.

Do you have to have the Amazon app open to use with other music/video apps?

How does this work with apple's security features? (Not allowing apps to track other apps, etc…)
No, you just need the Alexa app to set them up initially.

It is with AirPods, which is why I even asked.

If you're looking for a low cost tws alternative to the more expensive stuff out there, you don't *require* built in alexa, and *price* is your main concern (or by extension, you don't want to risk losing your airpods at the gym or on a trail, etc)... I would recommend Moondrop Space Travel [amazon.com] over these.

$25, TWS, *fantastic* ANC (punches *way* above its weight class), sound quality that rivals sony/akg/apple (you'll probably have to cycle through the included eartips to find the one that gets you there though)

Caveats:
-optional companion app (you can change gesture controls around, pick from three eq presets) is barebones
-not multipoint
-transparency mode has a slight hiss
-mic is slightly anemic

They cycle in and out of prime shipping availability. When I ordered they shipped direct from Shenzen Audio, transit time was 8 days.

I bought a pair when they came out, trade in discount as well. They are ok, nice talking to Alexa through the iPhone without opening the app. Sound quality is ok, the case sucks it's slippery or hard for me to open sometimes so it could just be part of my dexterity issues. No wireless charging, i already lost my ear covers, both sets . The covers are hard or impossible to find ON Amazon anyway, and not even on the page as like a suggestion. I mainly use them with my fire sticks so I can listen to whatever I'm watching.

Edit: since this post put it into my mind, I went ahead and searched and there is now an Amazon listing for the covers- link below in case someone else needs.

Reviews I've read say that the last version had a better fit, which makes all the difference for earbuds with ANC. I have a pair of the last version and they're very good.

Their Alexa app is required to register these buds. Periodically they don't think your phone has Alexa installed, so you have to resync with the app. Sometimes they hesitate to connect. Not happy with echo buds. I went with pixel buds A, they work as expected for a Bluetooth earbuds.

I didn't like being forced to use the Alexa app, but the build quality is great on these. My earbuds don't last (every year or two they seem to end up in the washing machine), so I don't bother with expensive buds.

I did end up returning mine because they kept falling out. Had the same problem with AirPods.

Multi-point bluetooth is a major feature on these, and not available anywhere else in this price range to my knowledge. Very convenient to move between two devices.

Another big deal is that these dont clog your ears and arent wedged into your ear canals. Thats a personal preference, and there are not many options

My biggest question is since they require the Alexa app, can they be paired with a PC?

someone said $100+ ... all the good earbuds are like 200-300
almost all of the $100 earbuds are garbage. It's sad but that's reality in 2023.
You can still get Galaxy Buds Live for a steal of $70 pretty frequently.
