Nobody else is even close to this price. Also, for those that may not know, KTC is the manufacturer of the expensive Nepros line of ratchets and sockets.

OP's is a nice piece, but 36-tooth is pretty crappy by today's standard. This deal, on the other hand, is killer and I ordered one for myself! I was having a hard time finding origin of build, but reviews indicate it is Made in Japan. Thanks!!

I was just looking at importing a set of Tone ratchets from Japan. This is ~$2 cheaper than from Amazon JP directly. Not bad.

I wasn't sure if that ratchet was Made in Japan or not - but after doing a little digging, Mr Subaru featured it on his YouTube channel and you can clearly see (at least at the time of his video) that Made in Japan is inscribed on the other side of the handle. He also mentioned that it's a 1/4" bodied ratchet with a 3/8" anvil.

The deal was so good, I picked up the TONE, as well. So, thanks for the link - repped.

EDIT -- Just posted the deal for other SD Members to find and cited you, as the personal who originally found the deal.

Definitely made in Japan, you can see "Japan" embossed on the handle in the fourth image from the left in the listing.

Check this out guys, it's a Tone 1/4 mini ratchet for $14 for me. Does anyone have experience with this?

Yep, I own the BRS20 kit that I posted on SD @ https://slickdeals.net/share/iphone_app/t/16959778 - it has the same ratchet, included. It's very small and nice, however you won't confuse the backdrag on this mini TONE with that of a more expensive Ko-ken, for example.

I'm looking for a mini ratchet with little to no backdrag, can you recommend me one?

Well, Ko-ken is known for their low backdrag. I own a bunch of different brand ratchets and must say, I can concur that Ko-ken does have about the lightest backdrag you'll find. One big complaint has been their low tooth mech's, however. Even their top of the line Z-eal's were only 36 teeth. The new Ko-ken 1/4" Z-eals that Ko-ken has been working on for like the last 5 years (no joke) are now avail with 72 teeth.

Good news - I own this particular 72t ratchet and just looked and found it shipped from Japan (Amazon as seller) for free at the lowest price I've ever seen it at -- anywhere. $37.50 and it comes with a quick release. I think these things go for like $80 in eBay. At any rate, there's my recommendation. Oh, and btw, I just posted a smoking deal on a Japanese Vessel mini ratchet driver for around $7 (also shipped for free from Japan). That's another crazy good deal on these Amazon Japan free shipping deals.

EDIT -- Oops, just realized the above ratchet is a 3/8" -- but that ratchet style in the 1/4" version is what I'd recommend if you're looking for a small ratchet with low backdrag.

Here's the non-quick release version in 1/4": https://www.amazon.com/Ko-ken-Z-E...343&sr=1-1

Welcome. Hey, FYI on that particular ratchet. Amazon has a good price, but check out Zoro.com if you have one of those 20% Zoro coupons. You might be able to get it cheaper and free shipping is only at the $50 order mark. ✌🏻
