Great budget driver- I've beat the snot out of mine and it's never let me down. For the money, if you need a 1/4 driver, it's a no-brainer.

I do not think the $99 is brushless. For most it may not matter but for some is a deal breaker. I do like the triple lights on the $99 one better then the single light on the OP.

But that is a completely different model. It is a cheaper heavier brushed model, though it does have more power.

DCF850 and 887 have both been cheaper than this recently and are both better drivers. Not really much of a deal.

The 887 is a madman, speed 1 for IKEA Furniture, speed 2 for deck screws, and 3 is a beast with the right bits can do medium duty auto work.
