Really looking for a Walnut deal but nothing new and people want too much for their used ones. Missed out on the Best Buy clearance of $897 which was the lowest I saw.

165mm and 125mm to dummies like me mean 6.5" and 5". Why they mix metric with imperial, I'll never know. They're designed in the UK (made in China).

These are great sized drivers for midrange and mid bass. You may need a subwoofer depending on your listening preferences.

Audio deals aren't rare on here, a few pop up every month if you include deals on receivers. I'm assuming you mean audio deals on higher end speakers such as these. R3 and R7 deals pop up every few months along with deals on LS50s and LSX models every so often. And there are deals on BW speakers and other higher end speakers as well. I think there is a Klipsch surround speaker deal at least once per month as well, not sure if you consider Klipsch surround system as audio deals. There are some strong opinions about the lower end Klipsch speakers, I stay far away from those discussions. 😆

If I just wanted to connect them to my computer (through a receiver) which would be a better buy? R3 or R7? Space is not a concern

You might consider a powered speaker instead, then you can skip the receiver. I think the KEF Lsx is a popular choice and for a lot more money the LS50 wireless, or the LS60 for a lot lot more money. There are wireless powered speakers from other brands as well, all at different price points. Running wires to your receiver and then from that to your speakers seems a bit cumbersome given there are more streamlined approaches available. Just my thoughts. 😊

That's an awesome deal - I got some my white R11s and an R2C when they were clearanced out last year - $2400 for all 3. Best purchase I've made for my setup.

Great prices! If the R11s were in stock open box at my local BB, I wouldve definitely grabbed those.

I drove so fast to the Best Buy haha. One speaker was missing the plinth feet. I guess whoever bought it just stole that part and returned it back to the store. KEF charged me $150 for the replacement plinth, but I talked them down to $100 for it. Amazing speakers for $1200 all-in!

Specs don't mention it's efficiency. Should it be around 86dB? I also think the 111dB max output sounds optimistic.

My LS50 barely reach 95dB and the cones move like wild, about to blow up. Specs say 106dB capable, I don't dare going past 95dB
