There's a reason this is so cheap, and it's because of the cheap plastic case that breaks.

These have a lanyard loop opposite side from the slider but do not include the string loop keychain thing. Otherwise I have had no troubles.

Do they overheat and get too hot?

I just need something to expand some Android TV storage that will stay plugged in indefinitely.

this one wouldn't overheat, only the smaller sandisk smaller thumb drive tends to do that.

I just got this the other day. It's been this price for a while. The lanyard loop is impossible to thread through so I used a 3/8" split ring through it and that worked.

Hmm has both C and A connectors... I don't love the sliding/popout type, but this could have value for phone backups. Why not.

edit -ohh, shipping in 3-4 weeks. Nah.

Friction will saw through loops, better to get a drive with a keychain hole for carry

My phones are usually a few years behind, but in past phone models I could not get a flash drive to connect, ostensibly because it needed to be either OTG-capable, or needed more power than the phone could provide.
Would this flash drive typically work in more recent phones such as SE 2nd or 3rd generation? Thanks!

It's also got an arbitrary footprint. Don't plan on using a port right next to it if it's a macbook or another small machine.
