This is the new world. Amazon charging $2 for in-garage option. Prime videos will have ads with no price reduction. Restaurants charging "inflation fees." Fast food places charging an extra $1 for a thimble of ketchup. Veterinarians charging $25 fee to administer your own meds to a pet while they are hospitalized and a $15 fee to approve an Rx. Local hospital charging my insurance company an $1,800(!) "facility fee" for every 1-hour outpatient physical therpay session (on top of the PT charge) - 3x per week!. Some warehouses are now charing $200 to pick up orders. It's all ridiculous. The consuer is now paying for the cost of business twice - once w/ the item that already has these costs built into the price and a second time with the standlone fees.

New email, new dummy address, virtual credit card, random phone number, random name, VPN or use mobile data. That should bypass whatever they're checking. They don't verify ID or need to print cards these days.

Not even that, they dont even check ur membership ID at entrance or during checkout like costco. So not even required to spend this $15, if your good friend or relative has it, even better.

Got in on a similar deal last Feb.
But the weird part is the $4 pickup charge for online orders. However at the Walmart store two blocks away, not only free pickup for online orders, but they cheerfully walk it out to your car. Wassup wid dat?

I always change my address and phone number on the old accounts before I delete my account. Although, It only says "delete online account" so they probably still hold on to your information.
I still have 6 months left on this one so we will see. The last one I bought off stacksocial and the gc came right after purchasing the coupon so maybe I'll just look out for those deals. It's definitely not worth it at $50

Definitely!

I saw Sam's is pushing a membership up-charge to allow shopping before 10am now. Like 36 bucks extra per year or something.

They're a joke. Consumer protections are a joke. And modern business needs serious regulation.

Guys. It's actually quite simple. They "know you" by your browser cookies.

Either do a search on your cookie/browser data and delete everything related to "sams" - while not having any Sam's Club pages open. Or, use a virgin browser. By this, I mean a freshly installed variant (w/o importing data) or a browser that you have never used to go to samsclub.com

Firefox (recommended anyway), Chrome, Edge or even Safari on Mac. Whatever you have and dont use. Sign up with that.

Use a gmail address. And kee adding dots randomly. So [email protected] and [email protected] are two different addresses for Sam's Club. Gmail internally uses aliasing and all emails go to your usual [email protected]

It said, "you look familiar, do you want renew or join". I hit join and it charged me $16.43 w/tax.
