During the trade in process they ask which carrier the trade in Phone is for so you would just select accordingly. I assume it doesn't have to be "unlocked" in that sense.

I got the Total wireless phone from Walmart unlocked and I won't trade it in and spend another $300 for a Pixel 8. Mainly because I like the SE3 it's been perfect to mount it on my motorcycle and use it for navigation. It's a small light and performance is great. The Pixel sure looks good but I think same issues as last gen crappy fingerprint scanner and poor battery life, deal breakers for me. I upgraded from a 5a to a 7a and boy I was pissed how bad the fingerprint scanner and battery life was on 7a. Still have the 7a and kind of got used to it now. Does anyone know if they did anything to fix the fingerprint scanner any better than last generation?
