The AWD and range increase makes this a decently easy choice now, frankly these cars last forever, teslas ability to make the car an appliance means youll likely keep it in your family for years upon years, youll either give it to your parents, sister, kid, etc after 8 years. $4500 over 8 years is only extra $562. It's almost "regret insurance" at that point, if every year you get into a situation where you wish you had awd and slightly more range then youll kick yourself for not having gotten this. (I also think the LR has subwoofers and rwd doesnt... but someone would have to confirm that for me)
Foo, come back to us when you get 1 mil. + on your ODO which some ICE cars made decades ago have already done. Tesla is not breaking ground on longevity. A Corolla can outlast a Tesla. And Tesla makes the opposite of an "appliance" which is why they got to charge a premium all these years.

Did they increase 7 seat layout from 2k to 2.5k recently?

I saw the price cut on Twitter (X).
Makes me wonder why Tesla doesn't just advertise more if they want to sell more. Cutting price will only anger the current owners who paid $20k higher about 1 year ago. Offering a lower interest rate would be better than slashing price by 2 to 4%.
Tesla Motors doesn't control lending rates and not everyone finances their purchase. What they can easily control is the price of the car.

Interior noise? I don't know why my shitty model 3 makes so much interior noise.

However, the car is so much bette than the garbage BMW x4 because everything is automated. The shitty BMW still need the stupid key for unlock and lock.
New model 3 refresh is supposedly better, but who knows when it comes out in the USA. More dual pane glass, upgraded suspension, and more sound insulation.

Tesla can buy down the rates from the lender that does Tesla financing. Rise of the interest rates are preventing many buyers from qualifying for a loan. Lower monthly payments will definitely help sell more cars. Better yet, advertise to the majority of Americans who haven't heard that Tesla Model 3 can be purchased for less than $30K.

Why doesn't title say long range? So basically they got rid of the awd standard range and want people to pay extra $2k for long range if they want awd.

For those with noise complaints would it make sense for a stereo shop to remove all the interior carpet and use fatmat/ dynamat for sound deadening? Surely it will cost 2500$ to do the entire car but would it be worth it?

How can you say a car that's only been available for four years last forever? Have you heard of battery degradation. In 10 years from now your batter range will be closer 200 miles if it still works. On top of this you aren't exempt from bearing replacement, tie rods, control arms and bushings. We have no idea how long these will cars will last.
A few Model S vehicles seem to have no more than 10% degradation at about 10 year mark. thats about a 30 mile range loss.... Not sure where you are getting your numbers.

Sounds like a car that makes it to 1 million miles would cost more in maintenance than just a new car at that point. Plus the extra gas costs on 1 million miles of electric vs a million miles on gas.

I think 1 million may be a stretch, I wouldnt want to drive the car in that video, and I wouldnt want to do maintenance on that car either.

We do have estimates around the 300,000 mile mark though, and based on that, I'd say its a fair assessment to say it would cost a lot less to drive the EV than the gas vehicle. I anticipate 500,000 or 1,000,000 would be no different:

More like hit or miss. There are few chronic problems that their quality department haven't been able to address.
