I saw this on front page and knew exactly what this thread would look like lol. fanboys and haters all coming out. Regardless of how you feel about the cars, it's clear Tesla is feeling competitive heat and forced to lower prices. If everyone was so crazy about Tesla, they wouldn't need to cut. I know a poor soul that bought Plaid last year, and he's feeling hurt real bad lol

Actually, we do have ideas on how long these cars will last. Battery technology is evolving and if you gas heads can't understand that, that is fine. It isn't the job of others to make you do your research. I love gas powered cars, and I love my subies. EV's have their pros and cons just like a gas powered vehicle. But after owning an EV myself, they are by far a much better and more comfortable ride to me personally. Yeah you lose some "soul" that you got from gas powered cars. But I'm sure people said the same thing about when we went from horse and buggy to gas powered cars.

I happen to have a bunch of boomer friends. The smart and educated love EVs. The others...simply just don't get them.

Wow. This type of thing kills me. I've had one for 6 years. Know several with an ev. Way more reliable than gas. Less maintenance. The list is endless.

My Feb 2023 Model Y LR I bought for $53k would now cost $48.5k new with HW4. And I'd hate to have been one of the late 2022 buyers for what was it $66k?

You would think their focus would be on delivering CT and the new M3 instead of creating more demand for their already top selling MY. They are so slow to release vehicle updates compared to their competition especially BYD.

..and my 15 year old, almost 200k mile, 4,000 pound Toyota got 29mpg highway on my last road trip. We'll see how well 15 year old EVs last up here in the snow belt
