Have to TD on principle. Their price shenanigans have made my loan higher than what the car is worth new now 😄
Or in other words, you were just willing to pay much more than the actual worth of the car.

Same thing with my model 3 2020 before all the upgrades they did but I am not sure they are that significant what they did in model 3 refresh
How much would the trade in you can get from Tesla,
Just curious...

Why is this even a slick deal post? 😂 it's not a electric toy.. it's an actual car runs on battery.

Model Y is not much better. Trust me. I hate it.
Even my seat makes noise when I accelerate. I am going to service center again and try to fix it again smh

I wonder if I should trade in my model 3 for model y. I hate all the interior noise from model 3.
Have had both.
If you are driving at high speed on a windy day, Model 3 sound abnormally CRAZY from the roof area. On the other hand, Model Y is greatly quiet.
This is because of faulty design of Model 3 roof where multiple lines crevices and cut top glass, will act like a whistle where mono top Y acts nice as it should.

The reason to switch form Model 3 to Y should actually be made upon your need for a lot more cargo area and a much better seating positioning and space, especially in the back.
Else I like the appearance of 3 better but on the whole, Y is the winner.

For what its worth, I bought a Model 3 during the first price drop posted on SD back in June.
Coincedentally, I recevied my CA CVRP rebate check barely just yesterday for $7,500. I will also qualify for the full Federal $7,500 when I do my taxes next year for $15k off the total MSRP. The car cost me $43k all in with taxes, license, fees, etc + $2k extra because I opted for the Red Multi Coat paint (which is totally worth it).

I absolutely love the car and for me, it made so much sense.
I can charge for free at work and usually only charge on Mondays and Fridays. I haven't even bought the portable charger.

No quality issues or excessive road noise to report but then again, my previous car was a 10+ year old Prius so can't really compare.

$1300 for the year for 2 drivers with comprehensive coverage in NJ. Got multiple discounts due to on-board surveillance and safety features.
$970.74 per year in Far Northern California for 2021 M3 LR. This is via State Farm on a generous coverage and I do have multiple discounts. My son pays about $1,200 in Bay Area on 2022 Y.

Wait for the new model 3. They will be using double pane acoustic glass everywhere in the car. Currently the MY only has it in the front & roof, not rear.

I also hate it. I was told its just how they do their suspension and the differences between ICE and electric. I even bought the smaller rim 19" because I was told that allowed for thicker tires and less road noise.

The AWD and range increase makes this a decently easy choice now, frankly these cars last forever, teslas ability to make the car an appliance means youll likely keep it in your family for years upon years, youll either give it to your parents, sister, kid, etc after 8 years. $4500 over 8 years is only extra $562. Its almost "regret insurance" at that point, if every year you get into a situation where you wish you had awd and slightly more range than youll kick yourself for not having gotten this. (I also think the LR has subwoofers and rwd doesnt... but someone would have to confirm that for me)

As others have stated their QA is horrible. People get these cars with tie rods not assembled correctly and more. Then there are also posts about seals causing leaks internally. if you have money to throw away get one of these. Their idea is great but their execution is horrible.

How about that defect where a rock can hit the coolant line to the batteries and cause you to have to pay 16k to get it replaced?

That false information. There is no government subsidies for EV in China, only buyer incentives which most are expired or no longer offers.
For LFP EV batteries, there are only very few players in the world ..CATL and BYD..
Waiting Volvo EX-30 coming, even with 28% tariff, it will be cheaper than Tesla

I'll await your apology, but I'm sure I'll receive thickheaded backpedaling instead.

Do you know the explanation for why insurance gouges tesla owners? Mine cost went up 50% with perfect driving record coming from a Honda. Teslas are rated top for safety and you can't steal them. Doesn't make sense to me
