How can you say a car that's only been available for four years last forever? Have you heard of battery degradation. In 10 years from now your batter range will be closer 200 miles if it still works. On top of this you aren't exempt from bearing replacement, tie rods, control arms and bushings. We have no idea how long these will cars will last.

What are you proposing? Not buying an EV?

We are today at the bleeding edge of battery technology, and many folks out there are ok with some battery degradation over time. No one believes cars are an appreciating asset, the price will degrade over time and so will the car's capabilities.

Depreciation, repairs, wear & tear apply to all cars. For example, my family's other car now has an oil leak into the turbo. This is going to cost me 2.5K to fix. All cars will run into issues.

In 10 years many new car owners will have sold or traded in the car for something else.

Which year did you pay $400 for 6 months from State Farm ..... all you people do is just talk like Drumpf ...and you know what he does every day !!!! Maybe you stay in Timbucktoo to get that rate ....youd be lucky to get that rate for a electric bicycle !
these rates are available today as well for you too, but check the coverage on those. They would not have BI, no deductable or $2000 deducable which are significantly cheaper. Its upto you how much risk or care you have on the vehicle. Newer cars with decent coverage is no less than $500-$600. Especially in texas the insurance rates are high because of very good drivers

I wonder if I should trade in my model 3 for model y. I hate all the interior noise from model 3.
How does it differ from Model Y

Were any of them Teslas purchased new?
I have bought a Tesla in 2020 when they had huge markdowns on inventory. Sold it for a huge profit. It was a Piece of rattling garbage.

A friend got a Tesla and doesn't have a home charger. At times he has to sit for a couple hours to charge. I opted for a hybrid. 50mpg with Camry hybrid
Supercharge shouldn't take more than 30 minutes
Unless you are in very cold and very hot area without preconditions battery.

this or the Volvo EX30?

The volvo is tiny, more expensive net of the tax credit, has vastly inferior ADAS systems, won't switch to an NACS charge port till 2025, and is not actually available today among other comparative shortcomings.

So there's that.

Man I wish I could buy this car at this price. Bought my model 3 at the same price after driving an Accord. My brother and my friend also bought model 3's. We haven't experienced any quality issues or road noise, best car we've ever owned, especially with gas so high in California.

Ugly Cars and really bad drivers! No thanks, I wouldn't want to be associated with the type of person that drives one of these ..
I have 20+ year driving experience, are you calling me bad driver?

You' have to wait 2 weeks to get to know it.
not a long time to wait, especially after using fossil fuels from million years back

New model 3 refresh is supposedly better, but who knows when it comes out in the USA. More dual pane glass, upgraded suspension, and more sound insulation.

My 2023 model 3 pre-refresh doesn't have an interior noise issue. It was some of the earlier models that had that.
