The price in the title is for a RWD Standard range variant with 260 miles of range. The deal description indicates it's for the AWD variant with 330 miles of range.

The AWD is still $48,490 starting price. Please update the description.

The folks that complain the most about Teslas seem to be folks that never owned one -- I put 100k miles on my 3 and then bought a Y to enjoy the tax credit again. No maintenance other than tires and wipers. With the tax credits and money saved on gas I got the Y for free basically.

Title and Description are wrong:
AWD 330 mile Modely Y is NOT $43990, its $48,490
RWD 260 mile Model Y is $43990

I wonder if I should trade in my model 3 for model y. I hate all the interior noise from model 3.
Isn't the ride harsher in a Model Y? I thought the non-performance Model 3 with 18" aero wheels was the softest when comparing all Model Y and Model 3 trims.

(Unsolicited advise here)
1. Buy Tesla if you like it. You have good money coming in. ENJOY LIFE.
2. Stay single. You have good money coming in. ENJOY LIFE.

If you don't follow #2, you will remember me everyday after couple of years.

(By the way, I don't know your gender, but #2 advise is good either way).
I'm a dude and i was just messing around falsely boasting like that. Thought it was funny, but i appreciate the advice. Thank you.

Nobody knows you here - so that means nothing. I think you should stick a banner in your lawn with that information - that will show them (neighbors).
True. But it's still fun that people here know though just in case guy wanna ask me anything about being wealthy. Tip: Don't buy a tesla if you're not making at least 125k

Every car purchase carries some form of risk. If you buy a 10 year old Accord, you're hoping that the original owner was vigilant with oil changes.

I would bet that EVs should be a little easier to evaluate when used, especially for a layperson. If you can talk the owner into letting you take a 10-20 mile test drive, you can probably get at least a snapshot of the battery health.
A New $20,000 battery is more than a little risk. And a battery health meter that was designed by the manufacturer doesn't give much assurance. You can still have catastrophic failure and a 10 to 12 year old car is now worth basically nothing. It doesn't make financial sense to put a new battery in it and it's not worth anything to anybody else either. You can always find somebody that knows how to fix a gasoline engine. But Cletis with the garage down the street can't help you with a Tesla battery.

Dropped by $2K.
No, it went up by 2 grand! I've been actually checking their prices on the daily basis, the cheapest model 3 was 36k for a long time right up until yesterday and lots of inventory on the basic colors. Now prices went to 38,990$. While everyone says prices were cut, it's actually the opposite, prices went up and inventory reduced

To each his own. One time, I saw this lady cash out here Citi rewards check at Costco. I forget it was a big number and if you did the backwards math, you knew that the lady's annual spending was really high. And she said that she charged everything to her Costco Visa.

I kind of felt bad for her - I don't get such a big rewards check from Costco because I am trying to maximize each credit card. So while any of my cards don't generate as much as her amount, combined my cards probably generate lot more than her for a lower spend.

So going back to 100k+ balance in an account - almost feels that the person is not maximizing their resources. I have less than $2K in my checking account, less than $200 in my Ally account - and that is because all my money is elsewhere making me more money. So yeah - I probably would feel a bit sad when I see that account balance but sad about the fact that the person is "probably" not maximizing their returns.

Going back to Costco - people happily cash their checks on merchandise. Please don't. Just buy some bananas and get the rest in cash. Then buy the rest of the goods using a 3-4% return credit card. So even if you had a $200 rewards check, 4% of that is $8 - pays for a cheapie lunch - for just being a bit slick at the cash counter.
Ok I admit it. I was just messing around with the post about making that much money. How's your cash making money for you? I'm hoarding now because the property market is shit, and stonks have been shit too.

My post was about OP's first post which was MYLR and not M3. MYLR was $50,490 before last night's drop to $48,490.

Crazy they want people to buy EVs but don't give tax credit to those who have money to buy EVs responsibly unless your married to someone who makes less. I know a lot of Doctors that won't buy an EV because they cannot get the tax credit. They don't need it but no one likes to feel like they pay more. Gas cars are still attractive. I also don't like they have such low limits on Used EVs. Should be high, but only once per car every 10 years to discourage people from cheating.
Firstly, i was just kidding with an obviously oblivious post like that. But you're right! I always tell people how tesla has done to cars what starbucks did to coffee. Coffee used to be a dollar and it was ridiculous when starbucks charged 2 to 3. Now we're paying $5 in california like it's fine. A brand new bmw 3series used to be ~$38k just a few years ago. Teslas are not cheap yet I see my uber driver buying it and telling me he got $15K in rebates (7.5k from fed and $7.5k from california) which means his income (if reported legitimately) is around $60k to qualify for it. That's irresponsible.
