Nice insult . Mods will love this post. How about you clearly come up with something that relates to the topic which is tesla how you think they are maintenence free for 10+ years and you won't have to spend a dime when it comes time to replace the battery pack or replace ball joints/bushings or perhaps maybe not change the brake fluid? I know one thing make sure you check all gaps and plastic doors/ interior quality when picking up your tesla. This is the only time you can refuse delivery. I think even a electric hyundai may have better build quality at this point. Creeks and misalignment seem to be popular with the model 3.

The price seesaw with Tesla continues. Wow!
With other makes, the dealers move prices up and down all the time. They just don't advertize it.

Talking about 10 years +
You should try reading before telling someone to stop posting. Also bushings and ball joints go bad depending on driving style after 5 years. Good luck fixing that at a tesla dealer. The funny thing is you try to convince a tesla is maintenence free and it's not.
Tesla parts are readily available at my local service center. Tesla doesn't have 'dealers'.
What they do have is mobile service techs. For the maintenance replacements you've listed they'll come to your house or workplace and do the work. Or you can buy the parts and have your mechanic do the work. Or do it yourself.

What do you think HIGHEST score ever meant? That literally just means everything else is less safe. Are you challenged or do we need to explain slower?

Battery is covered 8 years or 100k warranty, will be replaced for free if there's any issue. No different than if Toyota replaces transmissions.

Look if you can't afford Tesla we understand. But let's not spread false information or compare Corolla to Model Y. They are not in the same class.
Now now. I can afford to buy several model S plaids if I wanted too. Would I LOL hell no. Do you like putting words in peoples mouths? And do you like insulting people who give good advice to people prospecting a tesla purchase in the future? It would seem so. Btw id buy a new corvette z06 vs any tesla Smilie especially if it was a choice between a model s plaid with quality control issues from the factory. But this is a tesla thread and so we should talk about what relates to repair costs after the warranty. You made the argument that you think a tesla is worth keeping after the warranty despite the degrading of the battery and cost to replace the battery which costs 15k+. I simply said that I'd buy a combustion Toyota / honda/Subaru over a used tesla if I had to give it to a daughter for a college car. it just makes financial sense

Neither of these claims is true though.

The second largest producer of EVs is BYD.

VW isn't close to either them or Tesla.

"Volkswagen, the world's second-largest electric vehicle manufacturer by volume,"

As of last year anyway, when i saw this fact. BYD has doubled in volume since then, pushing VW to third.

Still makes VW the Largest "traditional car brand" producer of EVs by volume tho, so look there before diving down the list at Ford/GM/Toyota is my point.

People talk about getting a new battery like you'd have to do when your engine craps out. With a dead engine you can't move. A battery may lose some capacity after 500k miles. It still powers the car the same. Just with less range. You don't have to 'replace' it.

You use a GEICO tracking devices and drive a Tesla. Obvious Biden loving liberal and you drive like one too.
Lol its bad enough tesla will track everything you do in the car. Thats why I hate self checkout, its like you are self encriminating yourself. Any lawyer will tell you not to use self checkout, the same can be said about geico tracking devices. Oblivious people can't think outside the box until they are indicted and serve jail time. I am sure alot of tesla warranties have been denied because of all the data they track. oh wait a simple Google search.. from a tesla owner
https://reddit.com/r/TeslaLounge/s/yGifsfALoP

so much for that 8 year warranty . 80% of the roads are crap in the usa. explains alot when we gave 6 billion to Iran and then 100s of billions to Ukraine.
just make sure your battery pack doesn't get hit by road debris or the tesla warranty department will make up excuses like how your control arms are prematurely worn out from abuse. I guess this could be said by any car manufacture. but the question is would you rather go through VW or tesla with warranty claims . I'll take a VW or even hyundai. 15k for a battery pack is alot to gamble with especially with a used tesla.

I got rid of one of my Tesla Model 3 Performance cars and got a Kia EV6 GT-Line. It's a much nicer car. Better build quality, interior is 1000x better, ride is better, it actually has a driver display, and heads up display, and 360 surround view. Downside really only is lack of robust charging network like Tesla has. I still have a 2021 Model 3 Performance, and compare these two side by side daily. The Kia is just a better car overall.

And this is why people like you and I could afford a Tesla but don't see see the value in it This idea of buying a used battery car is just asking for problems as it degrades while a used Subaru for example can be driven for years with little more than basic maintenance and still retains so much value

Anyone who would give their college access child a used Tesla and want them to wait around for a charger at night had obviously messed up priorities. Risk their lives to feel green when they could simply fuel up in 5 minutes and be good for 300+ miles vs then waiting hours to charge a car at a broken charger.

I guess this answers my question, you had a civic to use while you were charging with the 120V charger

Got it
We both have to drive but if there's a long trip we can take the gas car yes. The normal amount we drive could charge in about 8 hours and long drive about 20 hours so we'd just not drive so far the next day and it would finish charging the next night

Search for local inventory of ID.4s and haggle to get this same price for it. Way more comfortable / quiet of a drive than Tesla. VW is second largest producer of EVs after Tesla and not by much.
The best selling car in Germany so far this year is the Model Y.
