Lowest price elsewhere for a new unit appears to be around $1299
Comes with a 3 year warranty, with 2 more years if product registered with Yamaha (for a total 5 year coverage).

Unit also has preouts but is only a 7.2 Channel AVR unit if you are looking for more.
Personally, I am holding out for either an Onkyo TX-RZ50 (9.2 Channels) or Denon AVR-X3800H (9.4 Channels) but this is pretty tempting.

I would wait for lower. At this price you can get x3800h. I have the rx-a6a and it was around 1300?

It's often 1000 at Adorama so that's pretty good. May go lower yet.

I have this. Spent 1500 on it. This is a good deal for a solid piece of electronics. It does have some fussy software problems at times, losing configuration, losing connections to things, but it works well when it works. I prefer the warmer sound of Marantz products but this is still a very good product.

YPAO is so mediocre compared to Audyssey and DIRAC. These expensive Yamaha units are basically DOA unless heavily discounted.
