Dave's Killer Bread is 100% organic and is made from high quality whole grains without high fructose corn syrup or crazy preservatives. There are some comparable alternatives from national and regional brands but they are not much different in price. If cheaper breads work for you, go for it, there's nothing wrong with some of them (I sell Nature's Own, too, and stand behind the brand), but a lot of people appreciate the quality. This will never be for everybody but it's worth a try if you're curious. Don't just take my word for it since I have a conflict of interest, but it's good stuff. Killer Bread is on the pricier side because it is more expensive to produce, as well as the demand part of the equation.

I look at it like other grocery products. I can fill my belly effectively with cheap mystery meat hot dogs, canned corn, french fries, Busch Light, and Skittles. But I can afford alternatives like something with grilled chicken or a steak (whatever's on sale, not full price tomahawk ribeyes - this is SD after all), a fresh salad, and a Sierra Nevada IPA or a Guinness, so I'd rather go that route when it's convenient enough. It ultimately comes down to personal preference and budget.

Personally, I'm much more careful with spending on other things so I can feed my body what it wants in a reasonably healthy and enjoyable manner. We all have different priorities, and quality, enjoyable food is higher on the list for some than for others.

Great deal, but if buying in quantity know that the price break increases after 4. Quantity 5+ discount isn't as good.

Discount is good on 4 items per transaction. If you buy more than 4, better to have multiple orders (up to 6 orders), each with 4 discounted items.

Thin sliced version nowhere near as good as the full sized options. Same bread and more slices just tiny xD Perfect cold cut sandwich bread. Deal nowhere near slick enough for me to be freezing the bread. This bread already molds much quicker than say.. nature's own bread. Eventually I'd like to bake my own bread once I get a top mixer

I'm not sure who's baking these in the midwest, but whoever it is has been screwing up lately. The last couple of Dave's bread I purchased were baked too long. It was about 1/2 way between normal and burnt. Only noticeable on the outside crust, the inside was fine.
