I found this earlier today on Best Buy's site. Refurbished Apple Airpods Max are priced between $349.99 and $399.99, depending on the color selected. I picked up one for myself and another for my better half.

Don't trust Best Buy's refurbished bought multiple items that ended up failing or barely working. One of the only companies I wouldn't recommend buying refurbished from even "geek squad" certified
honestly it's better to do what I did. Return the Airpods Max and get the Sony XM5s. They are virtually superior in almost every way except for 1) Transparency -- Airpods Max are the #1 for this 2) iOS / iPad OS connectivity
My xm4 has a battery issue and would definitely will avoid getting the Sony again until they fix that issue

The transparency mode crazy. It feels like I'm not wearing anything. NC mode is also superb. Only issue I has was clamping force which I fixed by stretching the metal head band the other way. Weight (350g) isn't too much issue as most people think since weight gets dispersed evenly well. I would buy this headphone again if you are in apple environment.

However, if you're still looking at these… The places they beat the competition are.
Spatial Audio (only works with Apple products)
Build Quality
Ear Cup size
Clarity
Comfort (except for the Bose QC line)
I would use these for movies and music all the time. It is just very hard to beat these them for their virtual sound stage and positional audio.
