Link for reference only [target.com] YMMV!
I walked into a Target and saw this on clearance, marked at $89.99. I asked the attendant to look up the price, and that's what it came up for. I told him that other Targets had sold it for $41.99. He matched the price. I paid using my Target Red Card, which took another 5% off.
I am attaching my receipt if you want to use it for price-matching purposes. Good luck!

He said Target matches its own stores, which is why I uploaded my receipt for reference to reproduce the deal.
edit: This is besides the fact that the clearance deal you mentioned and the basis for this was for a different product.
