I got this FTX machine 3 years ago, awesome build quality. I've lost 50 lbs total since then using it daily with some HIIT cardio. At this price, its a must! If you get it delivered, it's much easier than picking it up at your local costco. You'd need a very large truck, trailer, or uhaul and you'd have to open the box of weights to make it manageable to move around. If you get it delivered, Costco will contact you and schedule a time and date for delivery and the drivers will help you move it to your door at least (tip them if you want them to help you lugg it inside).

I have this. Been using it for 12 months. Very happy with it. Very sturdy and well made. Comes with all of the attachments you'll need. Took a couple of hours to assemble by myself. Doesn't take up too much space when placed in a corner.

There's enough plates that you won't need any additional weight with possibly the exceptions being tricep pull-downs or rows. Attachments are sold on Amazon if you want to add more weight (I haven't yet and I'm still able to get a great workout in).

BL: If I had to do it all over, I'd happily buy this set up again.
100% agree with your statement. Bought mine last year as well. Delivery on a pallet was made inside my garage. Set it up there all by myself except when I needed to join the 2 side towers. I needed another person to just hold it for me while I screwed the bolts. Most of the itmes are pre-assembled. Very simple & easy. Solid built. Bought few more attachments from amazon & academy. Worth it at this price. Last year also paid $1k.

Joining a gym is probably cheaper, but can't beat the convenience of being able to work out in my garage. Also, I don't have to deal with certain entitled gym users who horde all the dumbbells.
Or the random dudes screaming while lifting like the gym I go to laugh out loud

Most people don't know this, but you get an extra 0.2 horsepowers when you grunt as you lift.

Nah man. I'm cool with grunting...but there's dudes that straight yell at the top of their lungs at my gym...it's so awkward.

I got this last spring for $1199. I knew it would probably be $999 at some point again but I really wanted to change up my routine with cable movements. I've been lifting seriously/consistently for the last 2 years with a full Rep rack and adjustable bowflex weights in my home gym. Adding this truly completed my home gym. I can basically do anything that a bodybuilder would do in a commercial gym now. I mainly use it for cable curls, triceps pull downs, incline bench press, seated pull downs, rows, overhead triceps extensions, front/side Delt raises, face pulls. What makes a cable machine so useful and in some ways superior to a rack is the much longer time under tension during each movement, milking every bit of potential hypertrophy/strength you can get from your training program. The bench is surprisingly great quality too, just a bit clunky due to the collapsible/storable design. The footprint is tiny if you put it in a corner like I did. The attachments all hang off the back shelf out of the way. It even comes with a pull-up assist band though I haven't used it because I'm not into drop sets of pull-ups right now. I have done a large amount of work on my rack 5-6 days per week consistently, but if I could only get one piece of equipment, it would be this one. Cables pull smooth as butter. Assembly was easy by myself, but took a few hours. The box is expectedly heavy af, so don't expect to move it by yourself without taking the pieces out individually. You will not be able to lift the full unopened box into a car or truck without a forklift, so don't try it.

I looked at rep and rogue machines too, but couldn't justify the higher cost. Even the ares/Athena attachments for my rep rack were super expensive in comparison. If you are looking for a quality cable machine and don't want to spend $2k+, this is the one to get.

Don't hesitate. You will be thrilled with it at this price. I paid $1200 a while back and I love it.

For someone that has used this before, how does this do with high and low chest flys? I'm worried it might be a bit narrow and it might rub my arms.
It will rub your arms on flys, but I actually feel I isolate better doing each side seperately changing angle after each set. Back flys work great though. I have a full cage with olympic set and dumbells for other areas - this is for all cable work, and is so much better than the cheesy pullys you have to add plates to. For more weight, connect both stacks with a chain then put another carabiner in the center, and pull from there...
