Also, gentle reminder to those with AMEX cards, you may be targeted for an AMEX offer for 6% cash back on purchases made at LG.com until the end of October 2023.

And, this monitor is currently rated #7 for gaming performance, out of all reviewed monitors ever at rtings.com

It scores a 9.0 / 10 for gaming, with a 9.2 being the highest existing score in the monitor category, currently: https://www.rtings.com/monitor/re...45gr95qe-b

Only ~83 PPI... keep that in mind. A 27" 1080p monitor is ~82 PPI. Great for gaming for sure but if you're using it for the web or for work I'd look at other options.

This is exactly why I'm not buying it No1

I absolutely wish I could, just don't have the space for a monitor that I'd only use for gaming...

Yeah, I was actually surprised RTINGS gave it such a good review. Still an excellent monitor but that part hurts it imo. Opens it up though for more GPU's being able to run it at a higher rate though.

Man I constantly see these employer perks from the LG.com store but how many people have access to these because I don't seem many people saying they do? I have quite a lot of different benefits from my employeer but this is one I don't have (very surprising). Wish I had access because $900 for this monitor is something I wanted.

I used my company email address to try and sign up and sure enough, we have some partnership out there in the corporate ether. Now the temptation is strong, because I was just curious if I qualified.

100% this. Hold off on these until they can manage 5K2K resolution at this refresh rate. (5120x2160p)

Fwiw, I bought this monitor from Best Buy for $1299 to use for gaming (mostly sim racing), and I honestly think it looks amazing for that purpose. That said, It would be horrible for productivity. So it depends on your intended use. Turns out I have access to this deal so I will return to Best Buy and order this one from LG.

Come to think of it, anyone know if Best Buy would price match an EPP site like this?

I bought one of these, was terrible dead pixels and all , replaced 3 times. Finally decided to return the working unit after a week of use because the curve warps images etc when scrolling sideways in games it has a weird rainbow arc effect to the FOV and made me motion sick. Never had a motion sickness issue. I would give this one a skip for sure.

These need to push 4K/5k before they're worthwhile for gaming/work hybrid use

Screen door effect on this is bad... Was going to buy it because everything else about it is great but ended up going C2 42" after I tested the 45" out at Best Buy.

Exactly the reason I went with the Alienware 38".......3840x1600 at this size is perfect. Great for both gaming and productivity.
