It's RUBBER, it will deteriorate just like ALL other rubber wipers.
I'd be real curious what conditions they used to determine a 40% longer lifespan.
Project Farm did a review of these Icon blades - while they did well in his tests, they were NOT the best of the premium wipers.

Driver side jumps or skates across the glass at times, even when it's raining. I wash and wash car regularly so it should be smooth. I also feel like debris get caught up under the wiper very easy.

Respectfully disagree. I've had the same set for around 5 years. Just finally replaced them this year. They are a great product. My truck is parked outside 100% of the time as is the wife's car. We are on So Cal.
Never used either model...got 3 years out of my OEMs.
