Cheapest I've seen this.

NOTE: This is NOT:
- The new epix Pro
- Sapphire
- Titanium

And it has half of the memory (16GB vs 32GB) of the Sapphire model.

This is the base model epix gen 2. It's a 47mm AMOLED screen with stainless bezels and no integrated flashlight (but has a flashlight 'screen' feature).

Garmin has recently put out a software update that gave this most of the software-related features of the newer Pro models.

NOTE: Does not ship until 10/19.

I've owned both this and the titanium model and personally think this one looks much better. I had a (rare) skin reaction to the stainless bezels, though, so made the swap.

$10 or so for random screen protectors on Amazon if that worried about scratching the glass. I destroyed many of them over years with my Forerunner, and the actual watch glass is still perfectly fine. 🤷 ♂️

I actually have a matte film on my sapphire epix because I'm weird and I like matte displays.
Yea. I've ordered stuff from them for years. They are like a close out site for bike parts
Chatted with both Best Buy and target. Neither will price match this website.

I guess it depends what you do with it. If you're rock climbing, sapphire might save your screen, but hiking? Trail running? personally I think sapphire isn't completely necessary in those cases, but nice to have. I have this watch and had a Fenix 6 before it, both with screen protectors I had bought from Amazon, and the only time I cracked one of those was with my car's seatbelt. For this price I'd jump on this deal, sapphire or not.
I get sapphire on long term nice watches but not fitness/sports devices. My Fenix 5X looks like it's been thru a war. Recently retired it for an Instinct 2X solar. The Instinct is already showing signs that it's had some fun. My body and mind show scratches so my watches might as well join them.

This Epix is down to $399

Ppl keep raving about flashlight feature, what's so good about it and what r ppl using it for? I have Fenix 6 Pro X no Sapphire & I dont take my watch off ever and it's as new as when I first got it. PPl who bang around their watch are the ones who need sapphire those who are not hard on them don;t need that feature.

E.g. taking a piss in the middle of the night without burning your retinas 🧑🏼 🦯
