Bought my dad a Kenmore grill and after a year and 1/2 the bottom (firebox) rusted out under the burners exposing heat to the propane line. Company wouldn't do a damn thing. Was a known problem with these grills. Not sure if they fixed it over the years but stick with Weber. Going strong for years and customer service is great. Needed new parts for the grill after 5 years, sent them free. Would never buy a Kenmore. Google the issue with the firebox.
If you can find one in your local area Sams Club, look for this grill[samsclub.com] - Member's Mark Pro Series 5-Burner Gas Grill for the same price. Much better build and quality for the same price - (Stainless Steel). Also has a 12,000 BTU infrared sear burner. I picked one up few days ago and looks solid.

will the iron grates rust when kept outdoors all the time?
I had a grill with cast iron grates and loved them. You just have to keep them seasoned. You don't "burn" them off when done cooking. Just give them a scrape when done cooking and their still hot. Then wipe down with a paper towel and cooking oil. My grill was charcoal so the coals would keep them hot after the food was pulled.
Certain locations have it for $299. Depending on the area if you have multiple Sam's you may want to change the pick up location. For example Humble TX has it on clearance. You could try other Sam's in your area. I have attached a receipt. YMMV of course.
I bought this for this price last time it was on Slickdeals. I've had it for several months now.
1. It takes 2+ hours to assemble. Nothing is particularly difficult, there's just a ton to put together. There's probably 100 screws, etc.
2. The temperature sensing system doesn't last. The probes go bad, but they all do. I've tried three others from Amazon, and all the probes go bad after a few weeks/months.
3. The grill feels a bit wobbly and cheap compared to the old Weber Spirt II I used to have, but it's not bad.
4. I don't use any of the electronics anymore. The batteries that go in the sensor to tell you how much propane you have left go dead in a few months, and I'm not going to replace batteries on a grill every few months.
5. I'm happy with how well it grills. One burner gets you to about 350F, two will go to 450F, I seldom use more than two.
Overall, I would not buy it again knowing how much time it takes to assemble. Add 2-3 hours x your hourly wage to the price, and it's not really a great deal.

Does anyone know if it covers the firebox? I had the same one (stainless steel) I bought from Sears several years ago. Same thing happened.
Purchased this the last time it was on the FP and it's been a nightmare since. Walmart is offering a full refund - but even then I'd say it's not worth it.

Honestly, put this together in about an hour and a half. Doesn't look bad for the price at all. Was delivered with zero damage. Smart features are a gimmick but might be nice to use for a bit. It's a grill assembly is bullshit but if your buying a grill continue being a man and just put it together. Probably on par with the pre assembled charbroil or next grill at Lowe's/Home Depot build quality wise. Again the smart features are a gimmick. Kenmore name is a joke looks nice but 1/10th of the quality of actual Kenmore 15-20 years ago. Just Chinese pop metal. Will serve its purpose for my place in life. If you have a house and aren't moving just buy a Webber. Zero reason not to.
