The blades on these blenders go so fast they can cook liquids. I've cooked soups to 170 degrees many times.

"Self-Cleaning" involves filling the blender halfway with water and a drop or two of dish soap > blend for less than a minute and rinse. I can blend peanuts into peanut butter and this cleaning method works.

All the product videos show people putting things in the blender, no videos of the blender giving itself a luxurious bath and sparkling itself clean. What gives?

That's pretty neat, thanks for explaining in 2 sentences what none of the dozens of marketing people at Vitamix were able to convey in 4 videos and 2 pages of text.

Pretty close to the 2020 Amazon low of $250. Really wish I didn't sell it afterwards, keep seeing people rave about it.

It is simple. Once done blending, add soap and water, then let it run. It will clean the inside of the pitcher out. I then wipe down the outside and the base unit and am done.

Can anyone confirm that Vitamix's usual 7-year warranty applies if you buy here and now? Seems like it should based on reviews but it's a little ambiguous.

$250 is a great price and is a slick deal. $300, which is a good or very good price, is a price that comes up a handful of times a year. But I doubt we'll see a $250 price again.
