FYI if you look at price history, this is what you'd consider their normal price since July. They raise it up and down every few weeks by $150.

I ordered one so I guess I'll gamble....
The only reviews of the 32" seem to be on amazon, but there are a few on youtube of the 27" version... One guy said it did 420 nits brightness... for $200 I guess I'll see.

I bought 2 27" 4k Sceptre monitors in 2018. One of them had their backlight fail in 2022. I replaced that with a monoprice 49" ultrawide and moved the remaining 27" up above. Then this summer the remaining one's backlight failed. I'm thinking about getting this one.

If you mean the price is $260 normally and has been for at least a year on the older year model then yes, this is normal

Bought the LG 4k IPS and it's excellent. $100 more but the panel is better, monitor stand is great and has USB hub built in with 60W USB C. If you buy the Sceptre panel and then have to buy a usable stand and USB hub then you're at $270+ and the panel still isn't as good. The LG panel is a better deal IMO.

Review score on LG is lower (4.2 vs 4.4 out of 5) for some reason though, I guess ppl expect higher on brand reputation with a higher retail price.

I am conflicted if I prefer this too a 21x9 QHD monitor... Now that those are available at reasonably affordable prices. I'm more of that productivity than gaming but I do game occasionally. But I use a console and I don't think they support ultrawide

Occasionally game on steam but I don't have much of a library there

This probably goes without saying for every monitor with built in speakers, but the volume isn't anywhere near adequate on the 27" model, so I wouldn't expect much on the 32" either.

If you're just using it for occasional YouTube viewing, you can probably get away with installing one of the volume boost browser extensions or Equalizer APO on Windows.

The rest of the specs hold up great and I've tested their claim of 99% sRGB accuracy against a colorimeter to be true.

With that said, do yourself a favor and try to order them separately if you're getting multiple. The last two pairs I ordered came packed loosely together (they were able to slide side by side in their respective retail boxes) in a box that was way too long and not secured in any fashion.

They survived, but I definitely ran several monitor tests on them the first week.
