i actually prefer SATA ssd over NVMe/PCIe. runs much cooler. i care about longevity more than read/write speed. i don't really care if a file transfer takes 0.6 seconds or 1.1 seconds... i'll take the transfer time cost if it means more data/device longevity.

it all depends on one's priorities and use case of course. just speaking for myself and my use case.

For anyone who has an AMEX, you may have the Dell $50 off $100 offer. Dell price matches (at least they did last year) so you may be able to get that price match and then use that offer to save $50 more.

That's what I'm looking into doing, but my end goal is making a portable so I'd be putting it it into an enclosure. Debating if that's a good route to go though.

Wake me up when it's $100. 2TB M.2 drives are $62, this should not be more than $130.

I reached out to dell customer service, and they said they won't price match Amazon prime limited deals.

Half size doesn't equal half price with drives. Big drives tend to cost more than medium sized drives. In these m.2 drives, 4TB is still considered big.

when you do that and buy more/newer it levels out the cost across all that you purchased. laugh out loud
