Those that have the Tab S7FE, there is really no need to upgrade unless you have the 4GB version and is super slow. Can save the Tab S7FE when there is a better trade in deal for the Tab S9/Plus.

Now? It seems to be that the only option is to "sign out" of a device.

Very odd. To me removing a device and signing out are different.
Go to google account--> security --> manage all devices --> (I only see signing out option. No more remove device)
Hopefully signing out and doing a factory reset is enough for a trade in.
This is google's response about removing device. Sheesh. This was from 2022.

"After a specific time of inactivity,
Device will be removed from here automatically,
You can't remove Device from here,
After watching the Samsung trade-in video, it says to sign out of the accounts so I guess that is enough and I don't need to REMOVE THE DEVICE from my account. I guess once you sign out and factory reset, it won't be able to connect to find my, lock or erase feature.
*** I shipped out the pen as well but not the charger.
*** I transferred all my information from my old s6 lite 2020 tablet to the new s9 FE tablet.

" If you trade in a tablet or laptop, do not send the included S-Pen. Samsung will not return any accessories shipped with your Trade-In Device. Discard accessories you no longer need in accordance with your local trash and recycling regulations. No trade in value is offered on anything other than your Trade-In Device itself."

I also got the Smarttag 2 and Galaxy Buds FE along with my order. The Galaxy Buds FE sounds great.
Even though it doesn't support DeX direct cable connection, I could definitely connect to external display with my portable monitor or television. I used my chromecast, fire stick and wireless hdmi dongle and they all worked fine. So one can use DeX with a keyboard to get a laptop experience or connect their display to a larger external display wirelessly with a very common device like firestick or chromecast. Very little lag if playing a game for me. Controls feel odd as games are designed for the phone touch screen. Pretty much I won't be gaming with smartview casting. For me DeX as a laptop experience is more useful than a larger external display of a tablet.
