Just found out that the S9FE edition doesn't have Samsung DeX enabled for external monitor
Got Tab S7 FE 128GB with Buds2 for $130 two years ago. Still works perfectly, not worth spending $300 to upgrade.
Yep, would definitely upgrade if you guys on the Tab S6 variant. I'll keep things short, if you plan to use this for couple years, pay extra $70 and upgrade to the 8GB with 256 storage. Else, get the cheapest one to use, 6GB Ram is okay if you are not resource hungry, you can potential trade this in for the Tab S10 in a year or two.

Those that have the Tab S7FE, there is really no need to upgrade unless you have the 4GB version and is super slow. Can save the Tab S7FE when there is a better trade in deal for the Tab S9/Plus.

Yeah but then i would lose a port, and I also use various IEMS and headphones that are like $400-$2K on my tablet lol using dongles suck. I feel like if companies were going to do this to people they ought to give tablets at least more io theres so much real estate on a tablet's body so much so we have tablets with like 8+ speakers now even...

You can trade up to a new S9FE for only $149.99 (not $300 as you indicate) with your S7 FE.
S7fe is more comparable to the s9fe+ version

Sheesh. It used to be so easy to remove a device from a google account. How do I remove a device like my old Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite from my google account so I can trade it in?

Now? It seems to be that the only option is to "sign out" of a device.

Very odd. To me removing a device and signing out are different.

Go to google account--> security --> manage all devices --> (I only see signing out option. No more remove device)

Hopefully signing out and doing a factory reset is enough for a trade in.

This is google's response about removing device. Sheesh. This was from 2022.

You can't remove Device from here,

After watching the Samsung trade-in video, it says to sign out of the accounts so I guess that is enough and I don't need to REMOVE THE DEVICE from my account. I guess once you sign out and factory reset, it won't be able to connect to find my, lock or erase feature.

*** I shipped out the pen as well but not the charger.

*** I transferred all my information from my old s6 lite 2020 tablet to the new s9 FE tablet.

You are probably better off giving them the pen then worrying about them rejecting your trade-in.

I didn't think that I needed to trade it in but the new tablet came with its own pen and I would rather be safe than sorry. The new pen is a little bit different in design than the old pen. I believe the s pen that came with the tab s9 FE is better than the old pen from the old tab s6 lite 2020. I can't see myself using the older pen if the new pen is better.

Samsung trade-in terms specifically say that for tablet and laptop, you don't need to send s-pen.
" If you trade in a tablet or laptop, do not send the included S-Pen. Samsung will not return any accessories shipped with your Trade-In Device. Discard accessories you no longer need in accordance with your local trash and recycling regulations. No trade in value is offered on anything other than your Trade-In Device itself."

It seems like signing out achieves the same effect as removing a device.

This tablet has been really impressive for the past couple days of use. I immediately noticed that it is way faster and snappier than my old samsung galaxy tab s6 lite (2020). I really didn't have any problem with the samsung galaxy tab s6 lite processor speed but it is clearly evident with the processor improvement from the tab s9 FE. The screen looks awesome and the speaker was really surprising because it sounds much louder and better sound quality than the tab s6 lite. Battery life is a huge improvement over the s6 lite 2020 but lot of that has to do with being old wear and tear battery. I am typing on my Logitech K380 bluetooth keyboard and using DeX with the tab S9 FE. It is giving one "the laptop feel" when one needs to do more typing. I still prefer my windows laptop over my samsung tablet with DeX, my iPad with a keyboard or my Lenovo Ideapad Duet but DeX can still be very useful if you are traveling and need to do some more extensive typing than for a regular tablet mode. Sure it doesn't have DeX external monitor support but for me, I would find that more beneficial with connecting a small screen phone to a large screen monitor. I am sure the connected keyboard cover case is more convenient than my logitech bluetooth keyboard but I don't have any interest in buying it. Very happy with the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE so far. It is really cool to have it matched similarly with my Samsung Galaxy A54 5G phone.

I also got the Smarttag 2 and Galaxy Buds FE along with my order. The Galaxy Buds FE sounds great.

Even though it doesn't support DeX direct cable connection, I could definitely connect to external display with my portable monitor or television. I used my chromecast, fire stick and wireless hdmi dongle and they all worked fine. So one can use DeX with a keyboard to get a laptop experience or connect their display to a larger external display wirelessly with a very common device like firestick or chromecast. Very little lag if playing a game for me. Controls feel odd as games are designed for the phone touch screen. Pretty much I won't be gaming with smartview casting. For me DeX as a laptop experience is more useful than a larger external display of a tablet.
