Worried that the only non-"I got it for free in exchange for a review" review is one star.

All of these review are

Downside is, if you actually build it and it sucks, are you really going to dissemble it and return it?

Honestly - $150 is basically a "buy now, debate later" price.

Exactly what I saw too. A 3 year old was making it tip? Confused

Even that one is labeled an incentivized review

How would this work with artificial grass if you can't anchor it down? Good idea or will it just ruin the turf and be all wobbly?

Agreed. You can't even buy a replacement slide for most sets at this price.

I've bought Kidkraft on deep discount before and it is generally decent quality. I do recommend coating it with an outdoor urethane or other water seal periodically and it should easily last until your kids outgrow it unless their goal in life is to see how much they can destroy before you cut them off.

It was a husky three year old?

In all seriousness, you're going to want to stake most of these sets down somehow, whether with sandbags over the supports or rebar driven into the soil. They're much lighter weight than what you might build from a lumber yard, but that's why they're $400 MSRP and not $2400 MSRP. Set your expectations accordingly, be ready to do a little maintenance, and at less than $150 shipped, it's going to be hard to beat without finding a steal at a yardsale or flea market.
