The good thing about these older model (v7 and v8) is one can buy an adapter on Amazon, so you can use Milwaukee or Dewalt batteries.
It won't replace a corded vacuum for some (especially those with carpet), but will definitely help with in-between cleanings, furniture, and just convenience.
As for me, I have mostly hard floors and an area rug, it will probably become my most used vacuum. For those other times, I have a really nice corded Sebo Dart.
Other family members have the v7 and can't say enough great things about them years later. And I have also gotten to use it when I helped clean.
I don't need the v15 at twice the price just for that. Others may decide to pay the extra if they have carpet or need the additional features.
It may go down a little more in price, but for $50 more than the Dyson V8 origin, you get a lot more for the money. I think I'm in for one. Thanks for posting!

While you can get more off with different credit cards, sometimes there are hidden costs and risks associated. I think this will be one of the better deals on this model for the current holiday season pricing for those who buy without being able to get additional discounts.
In some areas Amazon can be risky for not getting more expensive items, issues with returns, etc. Even though I ordered from Walmart, this is coming directly from Dyson.
This is just a light and versatile option for quick cleaning for all tile and laminate house with one area rug and in between a Sebo Dart (corded) when deep cleaning is needed.
