i have this

i bought in during the indy store grand opening

very nice pc - I was able to double the memory for like $25 or something ridiculous. There's a second m.2 slot for another nvme - highly recommend (although the screw on that is so tight you will probably have to remove the graphics card to loosen it - again, no biggie.

probably could use a couple more fans blowing out the back

so here's my one gripe and its pretty major - the thing will not wake up from hibernation or at all - once the screen goes dark you have to hard reboot the machine and then soft reboot to get the video card back. Supposedly it's a driver issue with AMD - I don't really care - that's super crappy.
A lot of amd boards have a wake on usb setting on wakeup events in bios - worth a check. Also try disabling hybernate/hybrid sleep in windows. Complete shots in the dark, but I remember solving a similar issue on a couple of amd boards that I never saw on intel
Decent price at this performance tier. Plus, this CPU can certainly handle higher-tier GPUs, so there's room to upgrade down the line.

Personally, with Black Friday coming up and deals happening all the time, I would attempt a custom (DIY) build. That could, potentially, end up costing a little more, but I would have full control of what parts I use and I might be able to squeeze more performance out of it. But that's me; I enjoy the whole process.

But, if you're on a budget and/or you don't want to deal with the hassle of DIY, not a bad deal.

Nah it's not that. I've raised this issue already and it's definitely something with the amd card. Supposedly they are aware of the issue.

This would be perfect for my son but the complaints about the wake from sleep issue are stopping me right now.

I've seen reference to that as well... and it doesn't make a ton of sense, because both RDNA2 and AM4 are mature products that basically have all the kinks ironed out. I'm running an X370 board, an R7 5700x, and a 6700xt. No issues with sleep that I've ever seen.

I'd hazard a guess that the mobo needs a bios update/flash, or that there's a bios setting that can be changed. Or maybe even chipset drivers need to be updated for it to work properly. But i'd be pretty shocked if it couldn't be resolved.

Yah If that's the case I will probably just sell it.

I don't do that bc if it dies while I do it I'm on the hook for the aftermath. No thanks.

These are rather simple updates that deefop has suggested, and would not brick your PC. I don't mean to come across as a dick here, but I think it would be worth looking into, from one user with an AMD card and chip to another. No reason to deal with issues in your system when there's a fix out there! Best of luck.

Disable enable ulps in your registry. That has worked for me so far.

What arcade games you running? If you're just running old retro games, you can run that off a potato instead of wasting money on this. No need for a Ferrari to drop the kids off at school!
