All these cookie/cupcake retail places that sell legitimately Betty crocker powder mix products that you can make in 5 minutes at home for pennies per unit, just crazy.
Go to an actual bakery and buy something that took effort, while being a superior product or you know? Just buy the powder mix yourself for $3 and make about 30 cookies in 10 minutes.
Even then, you can say that about every single premade food item in the world. Make your own hamburger or buy it? Make your own pizza vs buying it? Having a cocktail at home vs buying one? Of course making your own is always going to be cheaper, and is probably healthier and taste the way you want.
Most of the Insomnia Cookie locations I have seen have been next or close to a college campus. Do you think most kids in dorms have access to equipment to make their own cookies?
