Same experience. My TV's with Roku built in have zero issues, even 5 years later. My one TV with Google TV was kind of laggy day 1 and now is a slug. I press a button and literally have to wait 5-10 seconds for it to register. I can't even change inputs quickly, takes 10+ seconds to change.

I've read that newer TV's with Google TV have a Basic Mode which disables Google TV, turning it into a non-smart TV. Guess that's better than a near non-functioning TV.

My son has a TCL with Google and it's super laggy. Have to restart weekly. I have a 5 year old Roku TCL and never have a problem

Also have both a Google and Roku TCL, I feel both can use an upgrade of a $20 streaming device if it is being used for a TV used regularly. Both seem laggy and get stuck.
