I use 2 of the 2721 monitors for my home office work and I personally love them, especially for the price. From my research the big differences with the 2723 are no built in speakers (as you mentioned), the 2723 can't do portrait mode (the 2721 can), the 2723 has a non adjustable stand (the 2721 has an adjustable stand), and the 2723 has black plastic on the back of the monitor (2721 has white back plastic), so take those into consideration. If none of these things are deal breakers for the 2723 I'd definitely save the $30 and get the 2723 over the 2721 as they seem to be virtually the same monitor aside from what I've listed.

Thank you for the info. For some reason I had to search for the model number on slickdeals to find the deal on microcenter for it. Chatted with Dell support only to find they already price matched it for everyone. Bought it with amex $50 off of $100+ offer: you need to activate the offer on amex app/website first, and after buying it you should get an email from amex saying you used your dell amex offer etc., will be a statement credit of $50 hopefully on my next bill.

good points on the differences but I think the 2723 is adjustable for height and tilt, but just not swivel or rotation to portrait.

There's a good chance you're right. I use monitor arms, so I tend to skim over the monitor stand features and was going off memory on that. Thanks for the correction 👍
