Definitely suggest buying from a reputable seller (and in-store seems safest).
There were a lot of fake/counterfeits sold on Amazon/eBay etc last time there was an eclipse.
It is worth looking at if you remotely interested in this phenomenon. Home Depot's price for viewing glasses is very reasonable: basically a public service. The glasses kiosks were located near the customer service desk at all three Home Depot locations I found them at.
